Why this website?
In an ever changing business landscape, one of the most significant concerns for organisations is trying to establish strategies for the future, is defining and understanding the needs and capacities for tomorrow’s leaders and managers in both the private and public sectors. Specifically, this requires aligning the willing and capable leader to take up an increasing weight of the responsibility for performance and growth. Tomorrow’s leaders need to understand several concepts such as power, politics, leadership and decision-making.

 With organisations increasing the pressure to perform and deliver results – we need to ensure that ethics and values remain at the forefront of great leadership. Therefore; Christian values and ethics in business leadership will be at the heart of this website - "Profit AND Values" NOT "Profit OR Values". Herein you will find my personal views on this very popular subject of leadership and management in general within the workplace. The majority of what you will find on this website are articles that I have written which reference external publications to ensure that multiple perspectives have been considered. Naturally, I will reference the Holy Word of the Lord where possible to illustrate that these principles have already been provided to us in the past. Put plainly - "the wise shall understand" (Daniel 12).

So who runs this site anyway?
Welcome to Profit-and-Values (www.profitandvalues.com)! My name is Sam Sooialo. My last name is not very common so it has been spelt in a number of different ways such as Sooalo, So Oialo, Solialo, etcetera. For those of you who are interested, the correct spelling it is So'oialo (apostrophe between the two o) which gives it the Soh-oh-i-a-loh pronouncement. A number of years ago I had it legally changed to Sooialo (without the apostrophe) to make it easier for people to spell - so I thought! And for those of you who are still reading and remain interested, yes my brothers are Rodney (All Blacks and Hurricanes) and Steven (Manu Samoa & Harlequin).

I am a Christian leadership enthusiast currently based in Australia. This website Profit-and-Vaules (www.profitandvalues.com) which can also be accessed via www.sooialo.com is a pastime hobby that I run on a part time basis. I am currently employed on a full time basis as a senior manager/executive working for a multinational organisation. At this point I would like to point out that the views represented on this website are not those of my employer(s) past or present in any way shape or form.

How is this site funded?
 At the moment, this site is funded 100% by my own funds. However, you will note that there are Ads by Google throughout this site suggesting similar topics that you may be interested in. Hopefully, you will find something useful advertised and will in-turn click on the advert – and when you do, I get a small payment from Google which will go towards keeping this site up and running. And if you don’t see anything worth clicking on; then so be it.

You can also link back to my site which will help up the ranking on my website so that more people will find this website when searching for leadership and management topics.
